Software anxiety

Invariably, articles about Chromebooks will more often than not, include a mention that they do not run Microsoft office or some other legacy software. I wonder sometimes if those making the statements read what they write. Why on earth would Chromebooks need to be running bug filled legacy software to be considered useful computers? These must be the same people who dismiss Tesla's cars because they do not run on gas. The mileage anxiety is caused by the fear of getting stuck when the electric charge runs out, and you cannot get back home.
